Minimal Colour Works

I have introduced colour in these drawings which extend the use of curvilinear forms and further explore extremely minimal, faint and fragile use of line. The colour is employed sparingly to explore fragility by a means other than faintness and erasure: softness of tone, gentle juxtaposition.

The desire for fragility is driven by an interest in the fundamental properties of drawing - and the ways in which drawing can gesture towards a general truth about our experience of the world, simply by existing.
